At last the powerplant goes back in, the engine was
great to start with so for we are going to keep it as
is for at least the first few months after finishing
it. Then we will be looking for big power.
Engine
placed under car
Attached
to a hoist
Lifted
into position then attached
to mounts, suspension etc.
Looking down into the engine bay
Intercooler next to the new rad
Another shot of the underside
The pictures of the engine are slightly misleading as all the
shiny bits will be put on last.
One exception to this rule was the pace alloy radiator, we purchased
as the original item was de-listed and this just looks and performs
so well. Looks great next to the intercooler.
The engine still looks good even though most of the chrome
and polished steel stuff has still to be added. The box and block
are painted in heat resistant paint and lacquer other parts have
been coated in zinc.
There it is all in and looking rather special.
By no means finished and a little dusty here but you can see
just how good its going to look.
Hand polished stainless steel exhaust ..
are we going too far!
This was on the car when we bought it does anyone know what make
it is?
The sounds it produces is great so we didn't want to change it.
Complements the turbo and dump valve orchestra very well.
