There
were also a lot of problems with the alarm system (cat one cobra,
and immobiliser) we had fitted last year, they are just not designed
for easy removal, thats the idea, this took up several hour marking
and labeling then removing wires and cutting wires.
With the dash out we have access to the loom and sound proofing
also we can see any rot on the bulkhead.
We know its never going to return the amount invested in the restoration
but not everything is about money thats not the point, we love rs
cars ... thats our vice, and thats what we say to the people who
say we are insane ... and that it's "just an escort" they
don't understand and will never understand.
Apparently ford still make the looms for the s1 or at least still
sell them, worth a thought. when you disconnect the loom you can
with care remove it all through the bulkhead into the engine bay,
easier said than done. |
